SHMRRC Minutes for the Monthly Meeting

The meeting was held at Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, President Jeff Graybill presiding.

 Presidents Report:

Future possible shows include the November Greenberg Train Show in Monroeville on November 5^th and 6^th and the Mt. Lebanon Light Night on November 17^th.

 

We haven’t gotten any information on whether Mt. Lebanon will hold Light Night since it’s been cancelled for the last two years.  As soon as we know we will decide whether we do one or both of the shows.

 

Locomotion Weekend at the Carnegie Science Center will be held in early January 2023.  Dates have not been confirmed as yet.

 

 

Treasurers Report:

The total amount in the club treasury is $4938.25 which includes $4387.25 in the bank account and $551.00 in cash.

 

 

Program:

Trees was the topic of discussion and included information on buying pre-built trees, making trees with sedum and other natural plants, Scenic Express tree kits, plastic armatures with poly fiber and ground foam, and wound wire armatures with lichen and ground foam. The different methods were presented by number of club members.

 

Dave Bodnar presented various scale tunnel portals done using 3D printing and lazer cutting.  He also demonstrated a one meter long led light strip with programmable display options.

The next SHMRRC meeting will be at the Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church at 7:00 pm on September 27, 2022.
