The meeting was held at the Mt. Lebanon Library following dedication of the Bill Baldwin G gage trolley in children’s library.

Dedication of the trolley ceremony was hosted by Director Robyn Vittek. Jeff spoke about Bill’s club participation and his knowledge of the technology and history of railroads in the area. Lions Club President Alex Parish and Municipal Manager Ian Means spoke of Bill’s dedication service to the Township. Bill’s wife Jean spoke of Bill’s love of Mt. Lebanon and particularly the library. Cookies and punch were available. The trolley was demonstrated after a brief but detailed talk by Dave Bodner. The trolley performed perfectly as expected. A mural will be added behind the track sometime in the future.
Presidents Report:
The next setup will be Locomotion Weekend at the Science Center, Jan. 12-13. We will be at the same location as past years. Setup will be Friday and Jeff is working on getting us in early. It will be canceled if the Steelers have a play-off game in Pittsburgh.
Dave Murphy is working on having a setup at the Scott Twp. Rec. center in Scott Park, Friday Feb. 28 and Sat. Mar. 1.
Members are invited to an open house showing of a Victorian Christmas Village & Train Hosted by Dave & Colette Frankowski. Open December 23, 12-4 pm, 48 Florence Place, 15228.
Warren said Oil City is cannot take Kent Millers layout. Bud Brock may take it to Ohio for the Austintown club. This is less than a 2-hour drive from Pittsburgh.
We expect to setup at the summer Greenberg show.
Election of officers will be next month.
Treasurers Report:
The treasury remains in good shape. Dues are due next month.
Program:
Dave Bodnar showed a new device for creating “smoke” on a layout using a high frequency vibrator the size of a quarter that atomizes water when submerged. It looks like steam, but it is not warm or hot.
Rich showed his dance pavilion with several music programs on memory cards.
