 Presidents Report:
Locomotion Weekend at the Science Center went very well. We were allowed to use the elevators just outside the room to setup and tear down so that made our job easier. Our location in the large exhibition room was right at the entrance doors so we were the first layout that people saw. The attendance was very good with a steady flow of visitors. The consensus of the members was that we will participate next year.

The next show will be the Greenberg Train Show in Monroeville on Saturday February 26th and Sunday February 27th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day.  We haven’t received information as to setup times but based on previous shows, we expect to start setup at 2:00 pm on Friday February 25th

Treasurers Report:
After a heated discussion it was agreed that the dues will remain at $35 per year and were collected at this meeting since there wasn’t a January meeting. After collecting dues from the members present, the total balance in the treasury is $4,528.25 in cash and savings.

Program:
The yearly election was presented and it was decided to retain the current club officers for this year.

Suggestions are requested for possible clinics at the meeting, trips, or other activities that could be informational to the members. Please email any suggestions to the club email address.

A discussion was held concerning the weighting of rolling stock based on the NMRA standards or an alternative if those weights prove unsuccessful.

Jeff Graybill reported that he found another online supplier that the members might want to check out.  The web address is www.trainmastermodels.com.  Also noted was the hobby shop in the Washington Mall called Chippers Trains and Collectibles.

Rich Aubel brought a product that is promising for cleaning track. WD40 Electrical Contact Cleaner is claimed to clean rails and promote electrical conductivity without leaving a residue. Although the source was noted as Amazon, it was actually purchased at the Walmart website.

Next Meeting:
The next SHMRRC meeting will be at the Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
