SHMRRC Minutes

Wednesday June 29, 2016

 

Meeting was held at Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, President Jeff Graybill presiding.

Presidents Report:

We will be setting up the modular layout in conjunction with Division 2 NMRA at the Greenberg show July 16 & 17.  Our load in and setup should not begin until 3 PM Friday.

A consensus on the graphics is for our shirts is the PRR K4.

Bill Baldwin reports that talks with the Historical Society on hold because the Mt. Lebanon Commissioners have not approved funding for the building remodeling.

Treasurers Report:

The treasury remains in good shape.  The application for the Maker Fare has been accepted but not approved at this time.

 

Program:

Dave Bodnar showed 3 scratch made DCC controllers and a smoke generator using a tobacco less cigarette element.

Rich Auber showed deer and hunters armed with a bow and rifle complete with licenses on their jackets made by regluing body parts from stock ho figures.

Dave Maynard showed his new HO Flying Scotsman.

Mike Rahim mentioned that a Bigboy locomotive is being restored.  This project is extensively covered on YOUTUBE.  There were 25 of these engines built.
