Notes from SHMRRC Mtg. May 15, 2008
President Jeff Graybill called the May meeting to order at 7:04 pm. in the Community Room of the Castle Shannon Library, and reported that a short business meeting would follow the program.
Present were 22 members and guests.
Jeff introduced Jim Sacco of City Classics, who presented a power point program titled “A Brief History of the American Gas Station and some tips for modeling one”.
Jim has presented this program at NMRA Conventions, Regional, and Division clinics.
Business Meeting began at 8:25 pm.
Presidents Report
Jeff announced the next meeting would be June 18, 2008.
Still looking for a permanent meeting space. He has been unable to reach the Bridgeville Historical Society, keep missing each others calls.
One idea for a location is the Venetia School in Peters Twp. which has a space of 31’ x 45’ that would be available to the Club. Rental, HVAC costs are unknown. Site has plenty of parking spaces. Jeff will arrange a trip to look at the space.
Trip to PSU for railroad meet at the Model RR club was taken.

Dave Bodnar reported a balance of $249.00 in the checking account.
Announcements
Ken Hanawalt has volunteered to come to a future meeting and discuss the car card system he has in place on his Turtle Creek Railroad.
The Greenberg Train Show will be at the Expo Mart in Monroeville July 12, 13, 2008
Jeff will post other RR info dates as they become available
Jeff is still planning an East Broad Top trip for October, probably on Columbus Day weekend, more details later
