SHMRRC Minutes for the Monthly Meeting

Presidents Report:
The Club will NOT be attending the Greensburg
Train Show in Monroeville on November 5th and 6th. Div. 2 and our Club
were informed that the Show was FULL. No one is sure what that meant.
The Club will set up for Mt. Lebanon Light Up
Night on the afternoon of Wednesday November 16. The Show will be open
November 17th and 18th from 6 to 9 PM. There will be a Scavenger Hunt
and Dave Murphy will buy a train set for less than $150 for the prize.
Locomotion weekend at the Carnegie Science Center
will be January 13th and 14th 2023.
Scott Township Train show will be in early March
2023.
Treasurers Report:
The total amount in the club treasury is $4,973.75
which includes $4,422.25 in the bank account and $551.50 in cash.
Program:
J.R. Kolmer told us about his move to Pittsburgh
and the HO items he was selling. He sold everything he brought to the
meeting.
Jeff talked about DCC controllers and associated
devices. Jeff had his MRC Prodigy 5 amp. Controller. Dave Maynard had
his 3 amp. Digitrax controller and some decoders that he showed. Dale
had N scale and HO scale decoders and engines as well as a hand-built
controller. Bud showed his NCE 10 amp. O scale controller. There was a
discussion about the control variables, coding and the use of a
programming track.
Next Meeting:
The next SHMRRC meeting will be at the Mt. Lebanon
United Lutheran Church at 7:00 pm on October 25, 2022.
