SHMRRC Minutes for the Monthly Meeting

The meeting was held at Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, President Jeff Graybill presiding.

Presidents Report:

We have been approved for the Greenberg Show in Monroeville for July 24-25 and we will be combining with Div 2 in the same space as the February show. Since it is a large space we will need as many modules as possible. Setup is on Friday, July 23. Jeff will send an email to verify who will be bringing their modules.

There were no questions about the May presentation covering DCC systems. The membership is encouraged to submit topics that they would like to have presented at a future meeting. Some topics including scenery, tunnels, trees, and ways to avoid high cost projects were suggested at the meeting. Please send any suggestions to the SHMRRC email.

Treasurers Report:

The current amount in the treasury is $4,058.25 in the bank and $505.00 for a total of $4563.25.

Program:

Dave Bodnar presented several variations of the lap counter that he made a few years ago for the ice cream shop to count the number of laps a ceiling mounted train completed.

Rich Aubel showed an accessory power supply made from a recycled computer and a method to control a turnout from two different locations using two dpdt switches wired to act as 3-way switches.
